Washington, DC
Count me among the many centrists with high regard for Bill Clinton now deeply worried about his current destructive path. First of all, we should not be talking much about Bill Clinton in this presidential race anyway, however unavoidable and inevitable. And he should certainly not be using angry, vein-popping campaign stops to focus on "I" and "me" all the time. Mr. President, it is not about you.
The President's recent behaviors suggest what it is that Clinton haters find so offensive, giving this often angry-about-everything crowd even greater license for their scorn. I have always believed that haters tell us more about themselves than they do about the subjects of their hatred, but it has to be said that President Clinton is now clumsily reigniting these passions.
