Where's Pink Floyd When You Need Them?

Chicago - Luke Johnson declares in today's Financial Times that, "An enterprise must be about more than just the money." In reviewing Whole Foods John Mackey's new book, Johnson adds, "Happier and better trained staffs are more productive" and "a constructive corporate culture helps generate innovation and growth." This is what sets places like Zappos and SAS apart, in my view. In Johnson's words, if profits and cash "are the exclusive purpose of an undertaking, then it is less likely to succeed, less likely to endure - and less fun." Twitter - @jessicamcwade
