David Brooks invokes Sheryl Sandberg's "Lean In" in his NY Times' column yesterday, citing requirements most important for success today. So why then are so many people in business and other organizations so terrible at: "The ability to be assertive in a meeting; to disagree pleasantly; to know when to interrupt and when not to; to understand the flow of discussion and how to change people's minds ..... and to understand situations"?
