We live at a time when Orthodox priests lead thousands of fellow haters in beating and stoning peaceful gay and lesbian marchers in Tbilisi, Georgia last Friday. If these former Soviet nations expect to join the civilized world - let alone achieve their dream of EU accession - they had better wake up. Bishop Iakobashvili, the apparent leader of this gang of marauding clerics, told his flock on Sunday that, "I am not able to either condemn or justify them (the attacks). Oh really?
