We had breakfast with Congresswoman Tsongas (D-MA) today at The New England Council. How rare it is for me to pay tribute to a politician, but Niki is a good one. She is a thoughtful, authentic leader who has grown tremendously in office. Her willingness to confront the extraordinarily complex sexual-abuse-in-the-military issue is worthy of our praise, though real answers to this problem remain elusive. She has collaborated effectively with Republican Mike Turner of Ohio on this important issue, too, underscoring that productive bipartisanship is actually possible. Niki, you give hope to those of us who yearn for real leaders in Congress. Thank you.
