What an enlightened choice for these times, as scientific reality and indisputable facts come under continued assault. Besides, colleges and universities need to do a much better job translating the vast, societal benefits of their own research in STEM, social sciences, and humanities. A leader such as this can help inspire and educate a new generation of effective research and scholarship translators, which is sorely needed.
