Big Pink. Small Men.

Zurich

This just in from our Medievalism Desk. Kuwait and other Middle Eastern nations have banned the “Barbie” movie. The Financial Times reports they are doing so “over themes including gender, feminism, and sexuality.”

Those poor little rulers. No doubt that their aversion to the movie and the angst that Barbie, Ken, and friends evoke in them will require many years of therapy. I didn’t love the movie, but admire it mightily for striking fear in the hearts of insecure 16th Century despots.
