I'm constantly amazed that people in leadership positions can be so poor at communicating. It's too bad, since the ability and willingness to communicate are central to leadership success. Witness longtime Vancouver Canucks' goalie Cory Schneider. He learned on Sunday that he'd been traded to New Jersey not from his bosses, at what is a truly troubled franchise, but from the media. This happens far too often, and it's completely inexcusable. Communication truly separates the major leagues from the bush leagues of leadership.
